This shot of one of my all time favorite cars is another fun project. I was at the grocery store one day, and this beauty rolled into the parking lot. I didn’t have my main camera with me, but luckily I had a decent compact. So, I grabbed a few shots of the car in the parking lot, and the rest is retouching magic. My experience doing high-end retouching for automotive catalogs helped me understand how to approach the fit & finish, the wheel spins, and the windows.
I’d like to say I shot this on a professional motion rig that was attached to the car… but I don’t think it’s too bad for a snapshot in a parking lot, under direct sunlight. While this is meant to mimic a promotional commercial photograph, I’ve included this in the Retouching category because there’s so much done to the original image I felt it made more sense to include it here.
